They are a HORRIBLE Company. Rheem responds after 7 e-mails and couple of weeks.

My brand new $6,000 installed Rheem AC Unit had to repair two times in the first 1 1/2 years about bad quality parts.

The parts was covered but i paid additional $370 for labor and this is not covered.

Unbelievable!

My assessment: This company sells expensive air conditioners with inferior components. SHAME ON YOU RHEEM.

The water softtener is not working

It is not recharging by itself and the salt level indicator is not working. It is difficult to find a number for help.

When reached, was not given a proper answer. The email help system ends up as an exercise in exchanging emails.

I had a new AC put in after my wifes death in March 2021. I needed warranty work several days ago and I was told by Ruud/Rheem that my installer did not register their AC.

He told me he did, but is not in the business no more, retired. Ruud/Rheem would not extend warranty to 10 years, only 5. Even their date of installation is incorrect. After 3 years an expansion valve went out.

AC tech said poor manufacturing by Ruud. They dont care about customers.

Ruud/Rheem/Weather King are junk. DO NOT BUY.

Technician on site with communicating system. Has a persistant problem & we cannot find or get ahold of any kind of technical support.

Technician on site with a Rheem communicating system & he cannot get a hold of any kind of technical support. You sell the communicating system & trouble shooting them are a pain.

I don't understand why talking to someone in some kind of technical support is so hard.

We deal with many manufacturers & when needed I can contact just about any of them for technical support. WILL NOT BE SELLING ANY MORE OF YOUR SYSTEMS.

Rheem - Very dissapointed with this brand!!

Tank bought a year 1/2 water leaking control useless, rust on the borders . Dont buy this brand, We had an emergency to buy another because start getting into the ceiling. And they said we should buy the same brand in order for the warranty to work , No way i mgona buy another Rheem product again.

I wanted confirmation that the Washable AC filter that was packaged with the unit was sufficient for complete filtering system of the unit and that the unit does not need the pleated disposable type. The disposable type are very difficult to find in the required size.

Poor CS if under warranty told will have to pay

Called customer service for new Smart Rheem water heater in new build. Referred to 2 repair shops 40 miles or more away though live in large city.

Got a call from G.M. Plumbing in LC OR and told my water heater less than 2 years old despite being under warranty will have to pay $400-$500 call out, repair fees

Hotwater doesnt work

No hot water. The hot water heater stopped working overnight.

"expedited" shipping, misinformation, no gas valve, poor customer service

need a new gas valve. under warranty, this water heater was only purchased in september 2023, it is feb 3 2024.

they "expedited" it, DID NOT SHIP IT, and now I have to wait about 4-5 more days for hot water. this is unacceptable so I ask if I can source a gas valve myself, can I be reimbursed? guess what they said, you guessed it, NO! they can't.

We have no hot water and no gas valve and under warranty this should have been shipped IMMEDIATELY and it was not and I am extremely unhappy.

I want to get an entirely different brand of water heater instead of deal with rheems ever again. :(

Water Softener

I cannot get a hold of anyone at Rheem in regard to their water softener. We just repurchased another unit and it's not working.

We need help, but cannot receive any. This water softener is not worth it!
