I just had a Rheem 2 1/2 ton AC installed, because I heard Rheem was dependable and wanted to patronize Georgia manufactures. My AC contractor who is a carrier dealer says he can install Rheem. He then quotes a price but installs a thermostat which requires batteries to opperate, say I can have the wires run for an addition few hundred dollars. Don't you make a thermostat which like the previous one uses existing wires?????

INSTALLATION OF RHEEM HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEM:

•Refrigerant recovery per EPA specifications.

•Removal and disposal of existing equipment.

•Rheem 14 SEER condensing unit using the environmentally sound Puron refrigerant, 2.5 ton capacity.

•New heat strips.

•Rheem air-handler

•Non-programmable thermostat

•Connection to existing suction line with a new liquid line.

•Connections to existing duct system.

•Connections to existing condensate piping.

•New armaflex on outside as needed

•New disconnect

•Torch materials

•Freight charges if applicable

•Sales tax

•All labor
