I just had a Rheem 2 1/2 ton AC installed, because I heard Rheem was dependable and wanted to patronize Georgia manufactures. My AC contractor who is a carrier dealer says he can install Rheem. He then quotes a price but installs a thermostat which requires batteries to opperate, say I can have the wires run for an addition few hundred dollars. Don't you make a thermostat which like the previous one uses existing wires?????
